After costume designing for high school and local community theater in Northern California, he began studying at UCLA focusing on design and production emphasizing in costume design for theater, film, and television. During his education he looks to hone his craft and better his skills.

As a costume designer Marley works to create an open environment with the cast and crew to create designs that work for the overall story. Through collaboration, explorations, and adaptation Marley creates designs that reflect the mood, genre, and characters of his projects.
